Despite the turbulence, artificial intelligence (AI) continues to drive investor interest, even as certain sectors, particularly software, face steep declines.
The iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF (IGV) has seen a notable drop of 12% over the last month, contrasting with a slight uptick in the S&P 500 index. Ben Emons, founder of FedWatch, noted on Yahoo Finance, “There’s clearly a bit of an overreaction. I’d say some of the software stocks become interesting plays, perhaps alongside utility-driven financials.”
