Acting CEO of the Royal Australian Mint, Emily Martin, highlighted this release as a celebration of 150 years of Rugby Union history, coinciding with the Wallabies’ test series against the British and Irish Lions and the upcoming 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup in England.

It will be released at 8:30 am on July 17, priced at $17.99.
Interestingly, some eBay sellers have already begun listing these $2 coins for resale, with prices reaching up to $49.45 for the pair. However, the Mint has urged consumers to purchase only through authorised channels to avoid counterfeit risks.
